This policy covers the GuardVault iOS app and its optional services. The publisher and controller for the processing described here is Dealing With, SIREN 890 713 191.
Your files and secrets
Photos, videos, documents, notes and filenames are encrypted in local vaults. Dealing With does not receive readable vault contents, patterns or recovery phrases. Your recovery phrase unlocks an existing copy; it is not a backup. No GuardVault account is required.
Optional iCloud services
Enabling backup or sync sends encrypted data to Apple in your iCloud account. Apple processes necessary technical metadata, including record identifiers, sizes and dates. Enable backup separately for each vault and wait for “Backed up”; enabling the option does not confirm a completed upload.
Vault sharing
Sharing uses iCloud and a separate sharing phrase. Authorized participants can read the contents, and Apple participant details may be visible. Revocation stops future access through GuardVault. It cannot erase exports, screenshots or copies already retained by recipients.
Purchases
Apple processes payments; Dealing With does not receive your card number. RevenueCat processes an anonymous customer reference, products, purchase and renewal dates, Premium entitlements and necessary technical information for verification and subscription reporting, such as platform and storefront country. Network connections may expose an IP address to providers. RevenueCat never receives vault files, patterns or recovery words.
Permissions and copies
Photos and Files access is used for operations you choose. Originals remain until removal is confirmed. Apple manages Recently Deleted and iCloud Photos copies. Previews and exports can require temporary readable copies, protected by iOS and cleaned up by the app. System and recipient-app caches remain outside its full control.
Support and website
Your email address and messages are used to answer support requests through Google email. Never send secrets or private files. Cloudflare hosts this website, which currently runs no advertising, browsing analytics or session replay. Its demonstration keeps the pattern in memory without uploading it. Hosting requires technical connection data. No web purchases are offered.
Purposes, retention and deletion
Purchase data is used to provide and verify Premium. Support data is used to handle requests, and technical processing supports operation and security. Local files remain until deletion or uninstall. Disabling backup keeps existing cloud copies; deletion is a separate action. Apple and RevenueCat may retain purchase information for restoration, transaction management and legal requirements. Support messages are kept for handling and necessary follow-up, then deleted or retained only where an obligation justifies it.
Providers and transfers
Apple, RevenueCat, Google and Cloudflare have their own terms and safeguards. Processing may occur outside the European Economic Area under their applicable contractual safeguards. No exclusive French or European hosting commitment is made.
Your rights
Contact [email protected] to request applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection for data we process. For purchases, the anonymous reference in app support can help identify the record. We cannot decrypt vaults or recover lost words. You may complain to the French data protection authority, CNIL.
Changes
The date of this policy appears above. Updating this text alone does not enable new optional collection.
